­pµe­^¤åºK­n&English Abstract

Sub-project 2 develops the theories and techniques related to agent-based platforms, software, languages, components, and abilities on the next-generation Internet.

n       In the first year, we have studied the multiagent negotiation and published several papers on using game-theoretical negotiation mechanisms by proposing a mediated trusted third party. In implementation, we have developed a prototype system for government official gazettes, and auction agents in electronic market place.

n       In addition to the continuing to investigate the topics and extend the results of the research in the first year, we will extend more on the study on the rescue agents, location-oriented personalized information service, the e-business agents and the network management agents.

­pµe­^¤åºK­n&English Abstract

Due to the information explosion of internet, people cannot simply perform information processing tasks all by themselves. They must delegate the tasks to so called software agents who can actually adapt the performance according to personal interests and preferences. The objective of this subproject is to develop the theories and techniques on agent-based related platform, software architecture, language, components, and abilities (autonomous, learning, mobile, personalized, reasoning, communication and coordination, cooperation and so on) on the next generation world wide web or internet. We are going to develop intelligent multi-agent based personalized information service center, in order to achieve the goal of personalized information gathering, organization and authoring, and delivery. The ultimate goal is also support the many aspects of high level applications such as electronic commerce. Electronic government, digital library, distance learning and computer-aided education, virtual enterprise and so on. The whole sub-project will involves integration of many software technologies such as artificial intelligence, machine learning, natural language processing, information retrieval, database management, network management, multi-media, language compiling and so on.
